Turning an App Idea Into a Brand People Could Recognize

Pre-launch branding and a social strategy built to turn attention into users.

Participy social media content

Participy is an entertainment app designed to make planning social events easier and more engaging. Users can create events, organize what each person is bringing, keep important information in one place, and access interactive games designed to make gatherings more entertaining.

At the early stages of development, Participy had a promising product concept but no established brand around it. Before launching, the team needed a clear identity and a social media presence strong enough to introduce the app, build interest, and reach the audience most likely to use it.

01 The challenge

A Strong Product Without a Clear Identity

Participy had the foundation of a good idea, but it was not yet clearly defined from a customer perspective. The team knew what they wanted the product to become, but needed support translating that vision into a brand people could immediately understand and connect with.

Without an established visual identity, tone of voice, or clear positioning, it was difficult to communicate consistently across social media. For an entertainment startup entering a highly competitive market, this created a significant disadvantage: before asking people to download the app, Participy first needed to give them a reason to notice and remember it.

02 The strategy

Building the Brand Before Building the Audience

We started by turning the founders' vision into a structured brand strategy.

Through a detailed analysis of the concept, target audience, competitive landscape, and expectations within the entertainment market, we developed a brand identity that clearly communicated what Participy stood for and how it should feel to its users. This created consistency across every customer touchpoint and gave the brand a recognizable personality from the beginning.

With that foundation in place, we translated the brand into a pre-launch social media strategy designed around the full customer journey.

Rather than focusing exclusively on views or follower growth, the strategy was structured to progressively move people from discovering Participy, to becoming interested in the concept, to downloading the app and eventually becoming active users.

Content, messaging, and distribution were therefore built around one objective: turning attention into measurable user growth.

03 The results

From Visibility to Active Users

The launch generated more than 1,200 app downloads within the first month.

During the first three months, Participy's short-form video content generated more than 42.3 million views, with individual videos reaching as many as 10.7 million views.

More importantly, that visibility translated into actual product adoption. By the third month, Participy had reached more than 4,500 monthly active users.

Through a combination of paid subscriptions and in-app advertising, the app generated an average of approximately €1,400 in monthly revenue during its first three months.

What began as an early-stage product concept had become a recognizable entertainment brand with an established audience, millions of organic content views, thousands of active users, and a functioning revenue model.
